Ars Perpetuum: Canzoni of the Early Baroque in Italy

Ars Perpetuum brings you music from early 17th Century Italy for Baroque Harp, Bass and Tenor Sackbuts, Cornetto and recorder played on period instruments. This program will feature instrumental Canzoni by Girolamo Frescobaldi, Bartolome de Selma y Salaverde, as well as works by Giovanni Cima, Giovanni Cesare and others. Elizabeth Motter on Triple Harp, Sean McGhee on Bass and Tenor Sackbuts, and Sam Motter on Cornetto and recorder bring you music of the exciting and transitional early Baroque!

Ars Perpetuum was formed by Sean McGhee to bring historically informed performances to Cincinnati. Ars Perpetuum features the sackbut in its many various historical musical roles with diverse groups of instruments and voices. Learn more on their website: arsperpetuum.com.
