The Knox Music Series presents an Early Valentine for Music Lovers program of works by Bach, Mozart, Handel and Vaughan Williams. The program includes:
J.S. Bach: Orchestral Suite No. 1 in C major
G.F. Handel: Organ Concerto in F major (The Cuckoo and the Nightengale)
W.A. Mozart: Dominican Vespers K. 321
R. Vaughan Williams: Serenade to Music
Earl Rivers, Knox Director of Music, conducts the Knox Choir and Soloists. Christina Haan, Knox Organist, is featured in the Handel Organ Concerto. Featured Knox Soloists include Erin Keesy and Jackie Stevens, sopranos, Ellen Graham and Caroline Keith, mezzo sopranos, Andrew Jones and Alberto de la Paz, tenors, and Michael Young and Parker Van Houten, baritones. Refreshments will be served at intermission.

About the Knox Choir: The Knox Choir of Knox Presbyterian Church provides worship music for the 11:00 a.m. Traditional Services September through May. The Knox Choir of 50 voices, wiht a profesional core of 8 Soloists/Section Leaders, presents a wide range of repertoire, to include music of the Baroque period, and has commissioned 15 new anthems and hymns. The last three recent seasons of the public Knox Music Series has featured J.S. Bach's Christmas Oratorio, St. John Passion, and St. Matthew Passion. Earl Rivers has served as Music Director and Conductor of the Knox Choir since 1974.
